Ethnic Resource Centers

The Ethnic Resource Centers are located on the third floor of the Bay Tree Building at the Quarry Plaza. Enter the doors in the picture above, go upstairs and continue all the way down the hall past the Career Center and the Bay Tree conference rooms, and you will find the ERC.

Campus visitors: To purchase a parking permit at the main campus entrance, please continue 200 meters past the large UC Santa Cruz sign at the intersection of High Street and Bay Street, to the first kiosk on your right hand side, and park. There you can ask for directional assistance, purchase a parking permit and/or request a campus map.

Lionel Cantú Queer Center

The Cantu Queer Center is located in a wood cabin in a redwood grove between Crown and Merrill Colleges and the Crown-Merrill Apartments.

Walking directions: You may walk up the path adjacent to the Crown/Merrill bus stop or you may walk up Chinquapin Road. Once you are at the top of Chinquapin Road, turn right and head towards the Crown College Circle. Once you are at the circle, look for the white campus mailbox and the green sign directing you to the Cantú. Take the path down the short hill to the second wood cabin. You have arrived! UCSC shuttle bus: Get off at the Crown/Merrill stop if coming up the hill from East Campus; get off at either the Bay Tree Bookstore stop or the Health Center/College 9&10 stop if coming from West Campus and walk up the hill through Crown College. Once you get to the Crown College Circle, look for the white campus mail box and the green sign with arrows directing you to the Cantú Queer Center - take the path down the hill, passing KZSC which is the first building on your left hand side. Cantu Queer Center is the second building on your left.

During the evening, you may take the Night Core Shuttle to the Crown Circle and just walk down the driveway between the white mailbox and the green directional sign. For Night Core Shuttle schedule, click here.

Womxn's Center 

The Womxn's Center's location is at Cardiff House, which is near the base of campus.

Directions from off and on-campus: Take any shuttle or metro bus and get off at the Coolidge/Hagar Dr. bus stop. Proceed to walk towards the yellow buildings. There should be signs to direct you to Cardiff House but if not, proceed to follow directions to the Police Station. From there, walk West and there will be a small yellow house. You have arrived. UCSC Shuttle: After 6pm, you can ask the night perimeter shuttle to take you right to the Center (and when you're ready to leave, you can call for a convenient night shuttle pick-up).
